Anthem Blue Cross To Pull Out Of Most Of California's Individual Markets

This year, Anthem Blue Cross offers coverage in each of Covered California’s 19 pricing regions and all of California’s 58 counties. But the insurer announced last week that it will pull out of the entire individual market next year in 16 of the 19 Covered California regions. In the three where it plans to remain, it will no longer offer PPOs or HMOs – only EPOs.
