And in Humboldt County, “the rise in cases seen in many counties has now hit here, with 400% increases in cases in a matter of a few weeks,” Public Health Officer Dr. Ian Hoffman said. Meanwhile, local governments are also weighing new mandates: Los Angeles is considering one for county employees; and San Francisco officials could require businesses to check for proof of vaccinations for indoor service like New York just announced.
