California Healthline is a free, daily publication featuring health care news, opinion and original reporting, designed to meet the information needs of busy health care professionals, decision makers, media organizations and consumers. It is independently published by Kaiser Health News (KHN) for the California Health Care Foundation. California Healthline is part of the Foundation’s commitment to important issues affecting health care policy, delivery and financing in California.
KHN is a nonprofit news service committed to in-depth coverage of health care policy, politics, and business, reporting on how the health care system — hospitals, doctors, nurses, insurers, governments and consumers — works and doesn’t work. It is responsible for the editorial content of California Healthline. KHN is an editorially independent program of the Kaiser Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Menlo Park, California.
Neither KHN nor the Kaiser Family Foundation is affiliated with health services provider Kaiser Permanente.
