California Healthline is a free, daily publication featuring health care news, opinion and original reporting, designed to meet the information needs of busy health care professionals, decision makers, media organizations and consumers. It is independently published by Kaiser Health News (KHN) for the California Health Care Foundation. California Healthline is part of the Foundation’s commitment to important issues affecting health care policy, delivery and financing in California.
KHN (Kaiser Health News) is a national newsroom that produces in-depth journalism about health issues. It is responsible for the editorial content of California Healthline. Together with Policy Analysis and Polling, KHN is one of the three major operating programs at KFF (Kaiser Family Foundation). KFF is an endowed nonprofit organization providing information on health issues to the nation and is based in San Francisco, California.
Neither KHN nor the Kaiser Family Foundation is affiliated with health services provider Kaiser Permanente.
