Ranking Health Outcomes By County In California

This map shows California’s health outcomes, ranked by county. Marin received the top rating, while Modoc came in last. Lighter shades indicate a higher ranking and better health outcomes.

The data comes from the 2016 County Health Rankings & Roadmaps, which were released in March as part of a collaboration between the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.

More information on the measures used to create the rankings can be found at countyhealthrankings.org.
