Drug Discount Program Launches in Contra Costa

Contra Costa County is working with Financial Marketing Concepts to roll out a prescription drug discount program that will help the uninsured and those whose insurance does not cover certain medications. The 150 pharmacies participating in the program agree to reduce their prices by an average of 40% and receive a $5 rebate for each prescription filled through the program. The county health department receives a $0.75 payment for reach prescription.
