Editorial Says Young Adults Could Benefit Most From ACA
According to a Sacramento Bee editorial, "The aim of the Affordable Care Act is to make sure that people are not priced out of [health insurance] coverage by life transitions." It continues, "Young adults tend to be most affected by that and, thus, stand to" benefit most from the reform law. In addition, the inclusion of young adults -- many of whom are healthy -- in the insurance marketplace "should reduce cost shifting and drive costs down" for all residents, the editorial states.
