Gallup: U.S. Uninsured Rate Falls to 12.9%
The uninsured rate among U.S. adults has declined to 12.9%, its lowest point since 2008, according to the latest data from Gallup. In comparison, about 17.1% of U.S. adults were uninsured in the fourth quarter of 2013, before the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate went into effect.
