Hospitals
AB 13 by Assembly member Julia Brownley (D-Woodland Hills) was amended to require the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development to conduct a study to determine appropriate staffing levels for hospitals and permit the state Public Health Officer to fine hospitals that do not comply with those guidelines. The measure originally dealt with maternal dental care (Bill text, 6/6). The bill is before the Senate (Bill status, 6/11).
