Lawmakers Order Overhaul of Workers’ Comp. Insurer

After a recent scandal and criminal investigation, the California Legislature and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) have ordered the State Compensation Insurance Fund, which provides workers' compensation coverage to more than 190,000 California employees, to revise its management structure and comply with the open-meeting and public records laws that apply to all other state and local government agencies.
