SBX1 7 by Sen. Sam Aanestad (R-Grass Valley) was amended to increase Medi-Cal reimbursement rates for physicians to 80% of Medicare's reimbursement rate for similar services (Bill Text, 1/14). The bill is before the Senate Health Committee (Bill Status, 1/14).

A bill (SBX1 9) by Sen. George Runner (R-Antelope Valley) was amended to require the Department of Health Care Services to create a plan for allowing the use of federal Medicaid funds to be used for creating and expanding primary care clinics (Bill Text, 1/10). The Senate Health Committee rejected the legislation (Bill Status, 1/16).
