Palo Alto To Begin Installing 52 External Defibrillators
This month, Palo Alto will begin to install 52 automated external defibrillators, or AEDs, in police cars and at public places, such as City Hall, libraries, parks and soccer fields. In April, the Palo Alto City Council voted to spend $92,000 to purchase 37 AEDs, but the city was able to acquire 52 through a competitive bidding process, according to public safety officials.
