Prescription Drugs
AB 2730 by Assembly member Joe Nation (R-San Rafael) failed in the Assembly Health Committee on April 25. The bill would have authorized the Department of Health Services to increase the rebate paid by the manufacturer of a prescription drug on the Medi-Cal formulary if the drug makers promoted the drug through direct-to-consumer advertising in California during the previous fiscal year (StateNet, Subscription required).
