Report Assesses California’s Mental Health Performance
About 1.2 million California residents and about 25% of the state's prison inmates have mental health issues, according to a new survey from the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The report gave California a "C" grade on addressing mental health problems, compared with the national average grade of "D." No state earned an "A" grade and seven states earned a "B" grade.
