Report Identifies Pollutants in Private Wells Near Fresno
At least one contaminant that exceeded safe drinking water limits was found in 70% of 28 private wells in the unincorporated community of Easton in Fresno County, according to a new report commissioned by the Easton Community Services District. Among the contaminants discovered in the water were nitrates, bacteria and DBCP, a federally banned pesticide.
