Schwarzenegger Says Court Rulings Hurting State Budget
On Wednesday, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) said that judges who "are going absolutely crazy" and blocking state cuts, including to some health programs, are preventing the state from addressing its budget crisis. Schwarzenegger pointed to judges striking down state worker furloughs, required reductions in the state prison population and blocked cuts to in-home care services. He faulted the judges for not considering the state's fiscal situation in their decisions.
