The oversight board for the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine will meet to discuss procedures for awarding grants for shared research facilities. CIRM plans to award $220 million in grants to build new stem cell research facilities.
Wednesday
Richard Figueroa, a health care adviser to Gov. Schwarzenegger, will discuss the governor's health care reform proposal at a meeting of the Northern California chapter of the Health Care Financial Management Association. Officials from the Department of Managed Health Care also will talk at the meeting.
Friday
June 8 is the deadline for the Senate and Assembly to pass bills on to the other legislative chamber.
