Workers’ Comp Costs Up Slightly in 2011, Report Finds
The average cost of workers' compensation insurance for California employers increased slightly from $2.32 per $100 of payroll in 2010 to $2.37 in 2011, while payouts to injured workers and their health care providers increased from $7.8 billion in 2010 to $8.1 billion in 2011, according to the Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau's annual report.
