San Francisco Chronicle:
California Bond Would Raise $1.5 Billion For Children’s Hospitals
California voters on Nov. 6 will decide whether to pass a bond measure, Proposition 4, that would authorize the state to borrow $1.5 billion for infrastructure improvements at 13 children’s hospitals across the state. Under the Children’s Hospital Bond Act of 2018, eight private, nonprofit, children’s hospitals — including UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford in the Bay Area — would receive $135 million each.
