Abortion Remains a Point of Contention in Reform Debate
Differences in the House and Senate health care reform proposals about rules governing abortion services are sparking debate among advocates on both sides of the issue. Concerns about federal subsidies being used for plans that cover abortions could push House Democrats who supported the original House reform bill to oppose the Senate legislation.
