Admissions Down at 13 Large U.S. Hospital Systems
Hospital admissions at 13 large hospital systems declined by an average of 1.4% during the third quarter of 2014, compared with the same period in 2013. The decline in admissions was spurred in part by changes related to the Affordable Care Act. For example, admissions declined by 4.18% at Sutter Health and by 3.05% at Dignity Health.
