Advocates Criticize Changes to Medi-Cal Eligibility Checks

New rules included in the state budget that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) signed this week will require children enrolled in Medi-Cal to verify eligibility for the program twice per year instead of once. Critics say the move will lead to many children being dropped from the program because of paperwork problems.
