AGING: Can the Health System Handle the Growing Number of Centenarians?
Willard Scott's mailbox must be overflowing. With more than 70,000 Americans having reached the age of 100, scientists are beginning to ask how long humans will live in the new millennium. Recent demographic and scientific studies of aging have analysts worried about whether the health care system is ready for the graying patient population, according to California Healthline's Jeff Stryker.
