Alameda County Votes To OK Rx Drug Disposal Measure
On Tuesday, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 to require drugmakers to collect and safely dispose of unused prescription drugs. Failure to comply will result in a daily $1,000 fine. Pharmaceutical industry officials opposed the measure.
