Bill To Ensure Access to No-Cost Contraception Clears Senate, Heads to Assembly Appropriations Committee
The California Senate has advanced a bill (SB 1053) that would ensure access to no-cost contraception services for both men and women in the state. The measure now heads to the Assembly Appropriations Committee. Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California supports the measure, while officials with the California Association of Health Plans say it could drive up premiums for work-based health plans.
