Brown Signs Bill Giving NPs Priority in Becoming Foster Parents to Children With Special Health Care Needs
On Wednesday, Gov. Jerry Brown (D) signed a bill (AB 1133) requiring that priority consideration be given to nurse practitioners when placing foster children who have special health care needs. The legislation was among a package of 10 bills signed by Brown that seek to protect foster youth and homeless children and adults.
