California Nurse Staffing Rules Draw Closer Scrutiny
In 2005, California began enforcing rules establishing nurse-to-patient ratios at hospitals, but hospitals and union officials for nurses remain divided over how the rules have affected health care in the state. The rules are getting more attention as more than a dozen states mull similar regulations.
