California Representatives Push Paid Family Leave Bill
Reps. Pete Stark (D-Calif.), George Miller (D-Calif.), Lynn Woolsey (D-Calif.) and Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) introduced a bill that would allow employees to take up to 12 weeks of paid leave to deal with family health emergencies, a new child or military deployment. The bill builds on the 1993 Family and Medical Leave Act.
