A new report from the Kaiser Family Foundation reveals how dependent Californians are on federal subsidies to buy health insurance, a key component of the Affordable Care Act that GOP officials want to dismantle. The report reveals 1.2 million people who are enrolled in a Covered California plan are receiving subsidies this year. They’re getting an average of $309 a month in federal tax credits.
