Catholic Healthcare West Sells Hospital to Kaiser Permanente
The boards of directors for Catholic Healthcare West and Kaiser Permanente have agreed to the sale of CHW's St. Dominic's Hospital in Manteca to Kaiser, the Stockton Record reports. The agreement to purchase the 77-bed acute care hospital and two medical/commercial office buildings emerged in April and must be approved by state regulators, the Record reports. Formal transfer of the hospital is anticipated to take place in October. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Kaiser officials said that the company is paying "fair market value" (Stockton Record, 7/12).
