Children’s Health Insurance Program Receives $4.5M Grant
The California HealthCare Foundation has awarded a $4.5-million, three-year grant to CaliforniaKids Healthcare Foundation , a not-for-profit organization that provides health insurance subsidies for low-income children, the San Francisco Business Times reports.
The grant will allow CaliforniaKids to "expand to more areas, sustain existing enrollment and develop longer-term strategies," according to Michael Koch, executive director of CaliforniaKids.
CaliforniaKids provides premium-subsidized coverage for primary care and preventive services to low-income children ages two to 18 (Rauber, San Francisco Business Times, 1/30).
