CHW, Unions Reach Tentative Contract Agreement
Two unions have reached a tentative contract agreement with Catholic Healthcare West that expands retirement health care benefits to more workers, union officials announced Thursday, the Sacramento Bee reports.
The hospital workers' union, affiliates of the Service Employees International Union, said the tentative agreement would apply to 25 CHW hospitals in the state. More than 13,000 nurses and other workers would receive retiree health care benefits under the contract.
Union members next week will vote on the contract (Kasler, Sacramento Bee, 8/11).
