CIRM Awards $63M in Funds for Stem Cell Research
On Wednesday, the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine -- the state's stem cell research funding agency -- awarded a total of $63 million in funding to researchers working to use stem cells to treat heart disease, muscular dystrophy, Alzheimer's disease and blindness.
