A bill (AB 512) by Assembly member Sally Lieber (D-San Jose) would amend a state law requiring state agencies and businesses to disclose a security breach of an individual's personal information. The proposed amendment would include private medical or health care records to the definition of personal data (Bill text, 3/26).
