DELTA DENTAL: Releases Performance ‘Report Cards’
Delta Dental Plan of California and its HMO, PMI Dental Health Plan, are issuing "report cards" that provide information on their performance in the areas of customer service, administration, dentist access, client satisfaction and cost savings. Delta Dental based the report cards on patient surveys, internal statistics, utilization data and other sources. The survey found that 97% of Delta customers were "satisfied" or "very satisfied" with their most recent appointment. Ninety- three percent of PMI enrollees said they were happy with the courtesy and professionalism of their dental office staff, while 98% of Delta enrolles and 95% of PMI members chose to renew or re-enroll in their respective plans. Delta President and CEO William Ward said: "As nonprofit service corporations, Delta's and PMI's top priority is service. These report cards enable us to solicit feedback from our customers and report back to them on our performance in key areas. It also helps us evaluate which areas we should target in the future to best serve our client groups and enrollees" (Delta release, 10/21).
