Democratic Presidential Candidate Sen. John Kenny To Unveil Medicare Proposal
Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry (Mass.) on Monday will unveil a plan to reform Medicare and provide a prescription drug benefit for beneficiaries, the AP/Boston Globe reports. Kerry said his proposal would ensure the financial stability of Medicare and Social Security, increase long-term care coverage for seniors, offer new options for long-term care and encourage community programs for seniors. Kerry will present his plan at a seniors' center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
