DHCS, Xerox in Discussions on Replacement for Medi-Cal Case Management System

This week, the state Department of Health Care Services said discussions are underway with Xerox on plans to replace the Medi-Cal case management system. Last week, Xerox announced that it will not finish implementing a new $1.7 billion system, called the California Medicaid Management Information System, that was intended to replace the current, 30-year-old system that processes payments for the Medi-Cal fee-for-service program.
