Dignity Health Reports Increase in Income in Q4 2014 From Medi-Cal Provider Fee Reimbursements
San Francisco-based Dignity Health reported a net income of $402.3 million for the fourth quarter of 2014, up from a net loss of $29 million in Q3 2014. The health system attributed the increase in part to $420 million in past-due reimbursements from the Medi-Cal provider fee, which federal health officials approved in December 2014. Medi-Cal is California's Medicaid program.
