Doctors and Nurses
Legislation (AB 1436) by Assembly member Edward Hernandez (D-West Covina) was amended to revise the educational requirements to become certified as a nurse practitioner. The bill also would require nurse practitioners in California to be certified by a nationally recognized body approved by the state Board of Registered Nursing (Bill Text, 1/7). The bill is before the Assembly Business and Professions Committee (Bill Status, 1/7).
