Drop in Employer-Sponsored Health Coverage Continues
The percentage of Americans younger than age 65 covered by employer-sponsored health plans dropped to 62.9% in 2007, according to an Economic Policy Institute study released on Thursday, the Sacramento Business Journal reports.
The decrease marks the seventh straight year of declines in employer-sponsored coverage.Â In 2000, 68.3% of Americans received health insurance through an employer, according to the study.
