E-COMMERCE: Crackdown Urged on Internet Rx Sales
E-commerce is not just about toys, books, and CDs -- prescription drugs are increasingly for sale on the Internet, as corner drugstores establish Web outposts. Until now, federal regulators have been reluctant to put any constraints on e-commerce. This may be changing, with the recent recognition by the White House that the available consumer protections against medical fraud may not work in cyberspace.
