preference, according to a survey conducted by The Field
Institute. Meanwhile, 84% of respondents say it is a "good idea"
for nonprofit health systems to fund community health programs in
exchange for tax-exempt status, and 82% support requiring health
plans that undergo for-profit conversions to pay for community
health programs, according to the survey prepared for the
California Center for Health Improvement.
