FIRST MONDAY: Stryker Talks With Consumer Advocate Peter Lee
Jeff Stryker inaugurates "First Monday," California Healthline's monthly interview series with the Golden State's health care movers and shakers. In this first piece, he talks with consumer advocate Peter Lee of the Center for Health Care Rights in Los Angeles. Lee is the driving force behind the Health Rights Hotline, a model pilot program that helps consumers in the Sacramento area navigate the managed care maze. Unlike other ombudsman projects, assistance from the Health Rights Hotline (916) 551-2100 is available to all Sacramento-area residents, regardless of the source of their health care coverage.
