Georgia’s CHIP Program Offers Online Enrollment
Georgia's Children's Health Insurance Program, PeachCare for Kids, has launched a Web-based application that allows parents to enroll their children online. Before submitting applications to PeachCare agencies, the Web site screens electronic forms for errors or missing information, helping to eliminate approval delays. The site, www.peachcare.org, also provides information about program benefits and eligibility requirements, and a list of primary care physicians who participate in the CHIP program, organized by geographical area. In the future, the Web site will include functions to allow doctors' offices and hospitals to screen patients for PeachCare eligibility (Georgia Department of Community Health release, 5/23).
