Grant Funds Outreach for Drug Discount Programs
The Riverside County Office on Aging will use an $18,000 grant from the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America to promote the Rx Help For Californians program, the Riverside Press-Enterprise reports.
The program serves as a "one-stop shop" that helps qualified, low-income residents enroll in 150 prescription drug assistance programs for more than 1,200 medications, according to the Press-Enterprise.
The county will use the grant to increase visits by its two InfoVans, as well as for program materials. The Riverside County program is scheduled to run through August (Paul, Riverside Press-Enterprise, 1/30).
