Group Works To Make Silicon Valley Healthiest Area in U.S.

The board of The Health Trust, created in 1996 from the proceeds of the sale of the not-for-profit Good Samaritan Hospital to a for-profit company, has set a goal of making Silicon Valley the healthiest region in the country by 2010. The board has committed $30 million to the effort.
