Hamburg Confirmed by Senate as FDA Commissioner
On Monday, the Senate voted to approve Margaret Hamburg, former New York City health commissioner, as FDA commissioner. At her confirmation hearing, Hamburg said she would push to improve the safety of medical products and food.
