Health Care Costs
SB 350 by Sen. George Runner (R-Lancaster) would impose new conditions on a state law that bars hospitals from charging interest on medical bills being paid through extended payment plans. The bill would permit hospitals to charge interest if patients do not make all payments as scheduled within a 90-day period (Bill text, 9/6). The bill is before the governor (Bill Status, 9/6).
