Health Care Industry Accounted for More Than 20% of Worldwide Data Breaches in First Six Months of the Year

In the first half of 2015, the health care industry accounted for 21.1% of 888 total data breaches worldwide, according to a report by digital security vendor Gemalto. According to the report, the health care industry had 34% -- or 84.4 million -- of its total records breached, the highest rate of any industry.
