High-Deductible Health Plans More Widespread in California
About 38% of private employers in California offered health plans with deductibles of $1,000 or more in 2008, up from 18% in 2007, according to an annual survey the California HealthCare Foundation released in December. The survey also found that premiums and copayments for office visits increased in 2008.
