Hill Physicians Acquires Doctors, Enrollees From Brisbane-Based Group
On Monday, Hill Physicians Medical Group announced that it had successfully absorbed 120 physicians and 10,000 HMO and other enrollees from Brisbane-based Physicians Integrated Medical Group, the San Francisco Business Times reports.
In March, PIMG's physician shareholders approved a plan to transfer many of the group's 500 doctors to Hill Physicians. PIMG plans to cease operations by the end of the year.

Hill Physicians said the latest acquisition includes new contracts for patient care at Seton Medical Center in Daly City and St. Luke's Hospital in San Francisco.
Hill Physicians also said it has reached an agreement to treat Medi-Cal, Healthy Families and Healthy Kids beneficiaries. Medi-Cal is California's Medicaid program, and Healthy Families is the state's Children's Health Insurance Program. Healthy Kids provides coverage for children who do not qualify for Medi-Cal or Healthy Families (Rauber, San Francisco Business Times, 8/9).
